  • 4+ years experience working in a Business Analyst role
  • 1-3 years experience working on report or dashboard development projects

Exception: The client may consider candidates without healthcare background if they have 5+ years as a BA, 3+ years of reporting and dashboard development and 2 years of data analysis.

Description:
The client currently has five significant databases that they need to roll up into one new one using Teradata. Several apps sit on the databases as well as many reports that all need to be validated for future use, consolidated or retired. The client will be using Micro Strategy as the BI tool for reporting (experienced candidates are desirable).

  • Host/facilitate requirement gathering sessions/workshops with project stakeholders to understand and document business requirements
  • Design interactive dashboard mock-ups that will enable non-technical resources to query data
  • Author Business Requirement documents
  • Document current state and future state diagrams
  • Document business rules, functional requirements and non-functional requirements
  • Design client-facing report mock-ups to tell value story of products
  • Generate buy-in to proposed solutions
    • Participate in analysis and testing activities
  • Identify and document impacts to process or organization and provide recommendations for solution
  • Document test scenarios
  • Recognize scope limitations and raise potential scope issues, while designing best systems approach
  • Healthcare domain experience a must
  • 5+ years experience working in a Business Analyst role
  • 3+ years experience working on report or dashboard development projects
  • 2+ years experience in meaningful data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with business and technical stakeholders
  • Able to effectively consult business leaders and drive decisions that support optimal report/dashboard quality
  • Prior report design experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Able to manage multiple work streams concurrently
  • Able to work independently and effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Demonstrated ability to identify key tasks that need to be completed, accurately estimate those tasks and meet agreed upon deliverable date
  • Build strong working relationships with team members, including business and technical project participants
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong/mature relationship building and teamwork skills
  • Possess strong planning and implementation skills
