Firm appeals to clients, consultants & staff to nominate their favorite charity
Burnsville, MN (July 20, 2010) — Hollstadt & Associates (Hollstadt), a leading management and technology consulting firm, announced today that it is holding its third annual Hollstadt Big Give contest, calling on Hollstadt clients, consultants and staff to nominate a charity of their choice for a chance to receive one of two $2,500 donations being awarded in 2010.
“At Hollstadt, we strongly believe in supporting the charities that make a difference in our communities,” said Hollstadt CEO Rachel Hollstadt. “The Big Give is our way of inviting clients, consultants, and our staff to recognize the organizations that are important to them and bring awareness to the work those charities are doing.”
Hollstadt clients, consultants and staff can nominate the charity of their choice by telling their personal stories of involvement with their charities at www.hollstadt.com. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, August 31, 2010. To be eligible, charities must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The contest is open to all charities in the U.S. who are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization except schools and religious institutions.
Once all votes are in, a selection committee — made up of Hollstadt clients and consulants — will choose one winner from the client submissions and one from the consultant and staff submissions. The winning charities in the Hollstadt Big Give contest will be announced and checks presented during a private celebration on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Guthrie Theater at Endless Bridge, 818 South 2nd Street in Minneapolis. Along with the recognition and introduction of the contest winners, Hollstadt will thank clients and consultants for their support and loyalty throughout Hollstadt’s 20 years in business.
Last year’s Big Give contest winners included Skits Outreach Services (SOS) Players, a non-profit teen acting troupe that travels throughout the Midwest with a mission to teach youth to change their world, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota (BBBS), a mentoring organization that helps youth realize their potential by providing positive growth experiences through one-to-one mentoring relationships.
“The Big Give is such a fantastic opportunity to bring visibility to a deserving charity,” said Mary Blanchard, winning nominator for the SOS Players. “The added fact that you have a chance at helping your charity with funding, and to learn about the work other charities are doing in the community, makes it even more worthwhile!”
“Winning Hollstadt’s second annual Big Give was such a pleasant surprise, especially in light of what’s going on in today’s economy,” said Irv Cross, executive director, BBBS. “$2,500 will make a huge difference — that’s two-and-a-half kids whose lives will be turned around by Hollstadt’s generous donation.”
