10.25.11: Hollstadt & Associates Accepts Prestigious Jefferson Award for Corporate Philanthropy, Community Service

Mendota Heights, MN (October 25, 2011) Hollstadt & Associates, Inc., a leading Twin Cities-based management and technology consulting firm, proudly announced today that the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal named the firm October’s Jefferson Award winner for its philanthropy and community service. Nominated by a former client at the University of Minnesota, CEO Rachel Hollstadt will accept the award on December 1st at a reception honoring the winners.

Judges selected Hollstadt for its long-standing commitment to charitable philanthropy and individual volunteer commitments.

In 2008 Hollstadt launched its Big Give program to recognize and support the volunteer efforts of clients, employees and associates. Since then, the company has donated more than $22,500 to 39 charities including the 2010 Big Give winners:

  • The Early Youth Eyecare Community Initiative (EYE)
  • The Bridge for Youth
  • Amanda Styles Cirelli (ASC) Foundation
  • American Red Cross Twin Cities EMS Team
  • Bundles of Love

This year’s Big Give will recognize volunteer hours served by clients, employees and associates. The firm will donate up to a total of $25,000 by contributing for each hour served.

For years, the company supported local charities including:

  • MS-150, a 150-mile bike ride from Duluth to Minneapolis to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research and to help improve the lives of people with MS.
  • The University of Minnesota Raptor Center which specializes in the care, rehabilitation and conservation of eagles, hawks, owls and falcons; ensuring the health of raptors and the world we share through teaching, research and service.
  • 360 Communities, a 30-year-old grassroots organization that strengthens communities and changes lives by working to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault.
  • YWCA of Minneapolis actively lives its mission of eliminating racism, empowering women and girls and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
  • Lakeville Rotary Club, an international organization of business and professional leaders that provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

“We are a company with more than 20 years of service to and deep roots in our community. It is an extraordinary privilege to accept this honor on behalf of our firm,” said Rachel Hollstadt. “Our commitment to philanthropy springs from our core values (first understand, be humbly confident, do the right thing, grow & prosper), and I am profoundly grateful Hollstadt & Associates is being recognized for our community service.”
