My favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities is… Acqua in White Bear Lake; great food, exceptional drinks, outstanding service. I want to have my last meal there.

Who’s your hero? Ok, it’s a toss-up between Ronald Reagan then either Winston Churchill or Margaret Thatcher.
Favorite TV show/movie? It’s an old TV show, The Andy Griffith Show; it has great characters, outstanding stories, and it reminds you that you aren’t nearly as important as you think you are.
Favorite sports team? The Wild.
First Job? As a kid, mowing lawns for Mrs. Weaver; she died at 105 because she never mowed her own lawn. As a young adult, picnic coordinator. As an adult, I was a G-51 accounting clerk…me, an accountant.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be an insurance agent. Really.

Fun fact… In 1981, when I was 18, I ran a campaign to become the mayor of Mahtomedi! I didn’t lose, but I didn’t win either.
