Program/Project Management

Our roles range from the traditional PM role managing one large effort, or several small efforts, to the complicated role of managing an entire program consisting of multiple work streams and multiple Project Managers. We see Program/Project Manager roles on both the IT and business side of our clients.

Business & Systems Analysts

What is your hiring process like?
Our process is very unique! We have been in business for 29 years and are relationship-based. We want to get to know you through an in-person meeting. What are your strengths? What resources are available to me when I am on engagement with you?
Hollstadt has a variety of resources available to you when you are on an engagement. Besides regular check-ins, we connect with experienced Consultant Coaches who help you get up to speed quicker and address any work-related issues at the client site. We also offer a wide variety of training through webinars, workshops, and e-learning. 
Would I be an employee of Hollstadt? How do I get paid? Do you offer benefits?

Most of our consultants are employees of Hollstadt with full-time benefits. We also have consultants who are Consultant Partners and operate their own corporation. All consultants get paid twice per month, and you also get paid for every hour you work!

How long do consulting engagements last? What happens when I am done?
Our consulting engagements average 11 months. When your project starts to wrap up, our Sales and Recruiting Teams collaborate to begin remarketing you 8 weeks before your end date. Our main goal is to eliminate gaps between engagements. It’s easy to keep our consultants busy when we work with over 40 clients in the Twin Cities!
Is consulting right for me?

There are many factors that a person needs to consider when they are making the jump into consulting. Today, EVERY job is temporary.

Which means, your current employer is your client – and they could let you go at any time. So, when we decide to take control and determine our expertise and how we could use it towards becoming a consultant, we also start to recognize how to manage our careers like a business. And that is one of the most valuable things you can do to stay employable today. Does that mean you should quit your day job and become a consultant immediately? Absolutely not. But you should know the pro’s and con’s about consulting so that you are ready if and when the time comes to make the transition.

Consultants must be self-directed. While you are working for your clients, ultimately they’re counting on you to know what you’re doing and how to do it; you are the expert. You must have the fortitude to be completely autonomous and work without direction or supervision. At the same time, you must be prepared to take feedback and make revisions to please your clients, and negotiate that process diplomatically. It’s essential to possess a whatever-it-takes kind of attitude and be willing to follow through and do whatever necessary to provide value to your clients, while still maintaining good professional boundaries and keeping your cool.

Job Description

The Sr. Salesforce Engineer is a highly technical Software Engineer that will build, implement, and drive innovation into the Salesforce Platform. Specifically, this individual contributor will be an expert in building and maintaining platform applications. This person(s) will identify, debug, and resolve incidents on the platform as well as build Sales Automation and Enablement initiatives for the Sales and Business Development teams.

 

Responsibilities

·      Be the expert of Salesforce functionality and features in the enterprise.

·      Implement Salesforce technical best practices including right-sizing of customization, automation, and CI/CD

Sr. Cisco Communications Support Engineer

Job Description
This person develops, installs and maintains communication systems solutions, ensuring that issues and installations are coordinated with Communication Service Analysts, Network Management, and vendors. The person in this position will develop, test, and update communication systems disaster recovery plans; ensuring that any major issues with disaster recovery testing and planning are assessed and changes to the plan are managed. This position analyzes utilization levels and monitors traffic; propose configuration or technology changes to meet service levels. Oversee the design and execution of upgrades and maintenance activities on assigned platform.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Provides support on the selection, implementation, installation, and maintenance of all communications related systems.
  • Troubleshoots communication systems issues; providing tier three support for communication and video systems.
  • Coordinates with vendors and organizational staff the installation and planning of moves, adds, and changes of services.
  • Provides training to Communication Service Analysts on telephone systems, voice mail, and other adjunct systems.
  • Maintains inventory, by location, of all telecommunications network (local/long distance), hardware, cabling, pagers, and cellular phones.
  • Tests and updates disaster recovery plans; ensuring adequate availability and capacity for enterprise communications.
  • Conducts telecommunications analyses and identifies cost savings opportunities.
  • Analyzes quarterly traffic/busy studies for the telephone and voicemail systems/network/ACD groups.
  • Assists with the assessment and optimization of hardware, software, and network design through review and analysis of user needs.

  • Conducts feasibility studies for small to moderate projects.

      Scrum Master

      Hollstadt, in partnership with our large client base is looking for a Scrum Master who will be a key member of our team. In this role you will be responsible for performing the responsibilities of a Scrum Master at our clients.

      • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, preferred
      • Scrum Master certification (CSM or similar), preferred
      • Demonstrated Scrum Master Experience
      • Project Management experience/strong understanding of PM skills
      • Ability to function wearing both SM and PM hat
      • Agile
      • Software Development Life Cycle
      • Demonstrated experience managing project financials, Issues and Risks
      • Proficiency in using Agile tools such as Jira

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Facilitates team meetings, including daily scrum meetings, Iteration Planning, and Iteration Retrospective, among others. Meetings could be recurring or ad hoc, with business and IT partners. This role will field questions, manage issues and risks, set and execute plans and document progress.
      • Managing communication down and up
      • Supports estimating. Guides the team in establishing normalized estimating and helps the team estimate Features and Capabilities.
      • Primary responsibility to help the self-organizing, self-managing scrum team achieve its goals. This is accomplished primarily by teaching and coaching, and proactively identifying and eliminating impediments while facilitating the work flow.
