Business with a Heart… Thanks to our Friends at Minnehaha Academy
Sometimes fate has a funny way of changing one’s perspective, and often if you take a moment to pause the change can be lasting. Fate for Hollstadt Consulting came as a result of a tragedy that struck Minnehaha Academy in the late summer of 2017.

It’s well known that bad news travels fast, far and is almost impossible to control once it hits the air waves. Like the children’s game of “telephone” the story gets bigger and bigger as its passed from person to person. In today’s instant news, incomplete information and being first, it may serve us well to be slightly skeptical especially when something sounds so ridiculous and out of character.
True Impact Spotlight: SCORE Minneapolis
Minneapolis SCORE, founded in 1964, is the oldest of 364 chapters located throughout the United States, to serve small business entrepreneurs nationwide. SCORE is a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur training and helping small business startup, grow and succeed nationwide.
Consulting the Hollstadt Way
Once a month I get the privilege of hosting a meeting with new Hollstadt consultants who voluntarily participate in a workshop called “Consulting the Hollstadt Way.”
“Consulting the Hollstadt Way” is a workshop offered by Hollstadt to consultants within 90 days of their first engagement.
True Impact Spotlight: Blizzard Foundation
The Blizzard Foundation was founded on the belief that access to the game of baseball, as an avenue to learning key life lessons, can contribute to building a generation of character for today and tomorrow. Coming from a multi-generational baseball family, Janelle Schulenberg has a passion for the game.

As part of the leadership team for the firm I work for, one of my (our) responsibilities is to evaluate and provide fiduciary oversight to the retirement plans provided by my firm. While undertaking this responsibility I’ve had the unique opportunity to be educated on many very interesting facts about small business, retirement plans, and employee participation.
